Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor with 12 MB cache and a 4.60 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 memory, a 2.5-inch 512 GB SSD, DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides wireless connectivity.

Verify memory slots and drive bays

The system uses DDR4 UDIMM modules in a 240-pin DIMM form factor and supports up to 32 GB total capacity. Confirm how many slots are populated before ordering additional memory. The 2.5-inch drive bay holds the included SSD; an M.2 slot may also be present for a second drive, but the exact configuration should be checked against the specific unit.

Included peripherals and wireless dongle

A USB keyboard and mouse are bundled so the system is ready to deploy without extra purchases. The USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle adds 5 GHz-capable wireless networking and Bluetooth support on units without integrated wireless. Windows 11 Pro is already installed and activated, eliminating the need for a separate operating-system licence.

Questions about this item

What is included in the box and what must I add?

The system ships with the Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny desktop, a Lenovo USB keyboard, a Lenovo USB mouse, a USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle and Windows 11 Pro installed. A display is not included.

Should I choose the i7-8700 with 8 GB and 512 GB SSD or a different configuration?

This unit is the 10T7007WUS model with a 6-core i7-8700 up to 4.60 GHz, 8 GB DDR4 UDIMM and a 2.5" 512 GB SSD. Other configurations exist but this specific SKU is fixed.

How does the 4.60 GHz turbo speed behave in daily work?

The Intel Core i7-8700 reaches 4.60 GHz on single-thread bursts while the 65 W TDP keeps sustained clocks lower; Intel UHD Graphics handles office apps and video playback without a discrete GPU.
