Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny Desktop PC

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a compact business desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2.5-inch 1 TB solid state drive. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed alongside a USB keyboard and mouse.

Ideal for space-constrained offices

This micro form factor system suits offices needing a small-footprint PC for general productivity, web apps and video conferencing. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics and included Wi-Fi dongle handle typical desk workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance, multiple internal drive bays or a larger power envelope should consider a different chassis.

65 W hexa-core CPU in a micro chassis

The i5-8500 runs at a 65 W thermal design power inside the tiny case, setting the performance ceiling for sustained workloads. This power figure determines whether the system fits your thermal and acoustic requirements without additional cooling headroom.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i5-8500 is reaching its 4.1 GHz turbo speed under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab while running a demanding task and watch the CPU frequency climb toward 4.1 GHz; the 65 W hexa-core processor will throttle back if thermals require it.

What comes in the box and what must I source separately?

The Tiny desktop, a USB keyboard, a USB mouse, a USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle, and Windows 10 Pro are included; you must provide your own monitor and any additional cables.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR4 configuration or plan to upgrade to the 32 GB maximum?

The system ships with 16 GB DDR4 UDIMM installed and supports up to 32 GB total; select 16 GB now if your workload fits, or order extra modules to populate the remaining slots for 32 GB.
