Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor with 12 MB cache and a top turbo frequency of 4.60 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory, a 2.5-inch 1 TB SSD, a DVD-ROM drive, Intel UHD Graphics and Windows 11 Pro. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle, keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Suited for office and light multitasking

This configuration suits users who need a small, quiet Windows 11 Pro machine for productivity apps, web-based workflows and general office tasks. The 32 GB memory and 1 TB SSD give headroom for multiple browser tabs and local files. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance, internal expansion slots or a second internal drive bay should look at a larger chassis instead.

Simple peripheral setup

Place the Tiny on a desk or mount it behind a monitor, connect power, display and network cables, then press the power button. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed so the first-run experience is a standard out-of-box setup. The only common issue is forgetting to plug in the supplied USB Wi-Fi dongle if wireless connectivity is required.

Questions about this item

What display cable does the Intel UHD Graphics output need to connect my existing monitor?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics provides video output through the ports on the M720q Tiny case; use the matching cable for your monitor's input.

Will my current DDR4 memory modules work if I add them to the 32 GB already installed?

The system uses DDR4 UDIMM memory in a DIMM 240-pin form factor; any added modules must match that specification.

How can I confirm the 1 TB SSD is recognised and Windows 11 Pro is activated after first boot?

Open Settings > System > Storage to verify the 1 TB drive appears, then check Settings > System > Activation for a Windows 11 Pro licence status.
