Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF business desktop

This Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small form factor desktop built for business use. It runs on a six-core Intel Core i5-8500 processor at 3.0 GHz with 9 MB L3 cache and a 65 W power envelope. The system ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Check your monitor and peripheral needs

The chassis includes one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, six USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. Video output is provided by one VGA connector and two DisplayPort outputs. No wireless card, keyboard, mouse, speakers or monitor are included, so plan for those separately. Wired networking uses a single Gigabit Ethernet port.

Sustained workload behaviour with 65 W CPU

The six-core 65 W processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 share the compact thermal envelope of the slim chassis. During extended multi-threaded tasks the cooling solution manages the fixed 65 W power limit rather than allowing higher boost states. This makes the system suited to steady office productivity instead of prolonged heavy compute or graphical loads.
