Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.1 GHz. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 2.5" 512 GB SSD, plus Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle, DVD-ROM drive, wired keyboard and mouse complete the package for office deployment.

Straightforward SFF setup

The chassis opens with a tool-less latch so memory, storage or a low-profile add-in card can be swapped in minutes. Only half-height expansion cards fit the single PCIe slot and the 65 W processor limit rules out high-power GPUs. The included USB wireless dongle occupies one port; internal antenna headers are not present.

Office teams needing managed Windows

This configuration suits organisations that want a ready-to-deploy Windows 11 Pro fleet with consistent hardware and a three-year typical refresh cycle. Buyers who need discrete graphics, more than 32 GB RAM, additional 2.5" bays or a taller chassis for full-height cards should look at a larger form factor.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-8500 is reaching its 4.1 GHz boost speed after setup?

Open Task Manager in Windows 11 Pro, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU frequency climb to 4.1 GHz while running a heavy single-threaded workload.

What accessories are included and what must I provide myself?

The box contains the SFF chassis, a USB keyboard, a USB mouse, a Wi-Fi USB dongle, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed; you must supply your own monitor.

Is the 512 GB SSD the only storage option or can I choose a larger capacity?

This configuration ships with a single 2.5" 512 GB SSD; other capacities are separate listings, so select the SKU that matches the capacity you need.
