Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor business desktop powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor reaching 4.60 GHz. It includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB solid-state drive, DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse, and ships with Windows 11 Pro installed.

Suited For Office Work And General Use

This system suits office workers and home users who need a compact, quiet PC for productivity applications, web browsing and video conferencing with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card for 3D rendering or gaming, or who need more than 16 GB of memory, should consider a different configuration.

128 GB SSD And 16 GB DDR4 Memory

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of a 128 GB solid-state drive and 16 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory. This capacity handles typical business workloads and the pre-installed Windows 11 Pro, while the DDR4 type determines compatible upgrades if more memory is required later.

Questions about this item

What internal space and memory slots does the SFF chassis provide for adding storage or RAM?

The small-form-factor case holds a 2.5-inch 128 GB SSD and uses DDR4 DIMM slots that support up to 32 GB total memory.

How do I install the included wireless dongle, and what step is often missed?

Plug the USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle into a rear USB port, then install the driver from Windows Update before expecting a 5 GHz connection.

When will the DDR4 memory or the 128 GB SSD need replacement or upgrade?

The 16 GB DDR4 UDIMM can be expanded to the 32 GB limit later, while the 128 GB SSD may require a larger drive once the OS and applications fill the available space.
