Compact Business Desktop with Dual Storage

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 4.60 GHz turbo boost. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory, a 256 GB M.2 solid-state drive for the operating system, and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed alongside a USB keyboard, mouse, and a 5 GHz capable Wi-Fi/BT dongle, making it ready for office deployment.

Verify Motherboard Slots and Case Clearance

Before ordering, confirm that your existing DDR4 UDIMM modules match the 240-pin DIMM form factor used in this system if you plan to expand memory up to the 32 GB supported limit. The SFF chassis restricts graphics upgrades to low-profile cards and limits additional drive bays, so check physical clearance for any add-in components. Ensure your display connects via the available video outputs driven by the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 engine.

65 W Processor in a Small Chassis

The 65 W Core i7-8700 operates within a compact SFF enclosure that relies on a single system fan for thermal management. Under typical office workloads the fan runs at low speed, keeping acoustic output modest while maintaining safe temperatures for the CPU and the dual-drive storage configuration. Power draw scales with the six-core workload but remains bounded by the processor's rated thermal design power.
