Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF desktop PC fits a 65 W Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor into a small-form-factor chassis. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 memory, a 2.5" 128 GB SSD and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse are included for immediate deployment.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 65 W processor runs at a 3.20 GHz base frequency and can reach 4.60 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology across its six cores and twelve threads. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles routine visual tasks while the 12 MB cache helps maintain throughput during extended office workloads.

Memory upgrade limit

The platform supports a maximum of 32 GB DDR4 UDIMM memory, so the installed 8 GB can be expanded fourfold for heavier multitasking. Buyers who need more storage or discrete graphics should verify case and power constraints before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 65 W Core i7-8700 produce when the M720s runs all day?

The processor has a 65 W thermal design power, so sustained workloads will generate a moderate amount of heat inside the small-form-factor chassis.

What must I already own to use this desktop since no monitor is included?

You will need to supply your own display with a compatible video input, plus a power outlet for the system unit.

Will my existing DDR4 memory modules work if I upgrade the 8 GB installed in this M720s?

The system uses DDR4 UDIMM modules and supports up to 32 GB total, so compatible DDR4 sticks can be added or swapped.
