Compact business desktop with 32 GB DDR4

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 256 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 11 Pro, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse are included.

Suited for office work, not for gaming

This system fits general business tasks, web-based applications and multi-monitor productivity setups that rely on integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. It lacks a discrete graphics card and the SFF chassis limits internal expansion, so buyers who need 3D rendering, video editing or high-refresh-rate gaming should look at workstations with dedicated GPUs and larger cases.

32 GB DDR4 memory installed

The platform provides 32 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory out of the box, which covers most multitasking workloads without an immediate upgrade. If your workflow requires more than 32 GB you will need to verify the motherboard’s maximum supported capacity before purchasing additional modules.

Questions about this item

Will a standard 240-pin DDR4 DIMM fit the memory slots inside this SFF chassis?

Yes, the system uses 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM slots and currently holds 32 GB; compatible modules must be DDR4 only.

What is the correct order for installing the operating system on the 256 GB M.2 drive while keeping the 1 TB hard drive for data?

The M.2 drive ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed; the 1 TB hard drive appears as a second volume ready for files.

When the USB Wi-Fi dongle supplied with the PC stops working, what replacement should I buy?

Any USB Wi-Fi dongle that supports 5 GHz will restore wireless connectivity; the original is a small USB stick.
