ThinkCentre M720s Small Form Factor Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a compact desktop PC built for office work, home study and everyday multitasking. Its small footprint fits on or under a desk while providing the connectivity and performance needed for typical business applications. It ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and includes a wired keyboard and mouse so it is ready to use immediately.

Sustained workload behaviour with Core i5-8500

The 6-core Intel Core i5-8500 runs at a 3.00GHz base clock and can reach 4.10GHz turbo when thermal headroom allows. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output without a discrete card. The 16GB DDR4 memory and 256GB SSD keep the system responsive during extended office sessions, video calls and web browsing.

256GB SSD capacity decides fit for purpose

The single 256GB solid-state drive determines how much software and active data can stay on fast storage. Buyers who need more space for large media libraries, local backups or multiple virtual machines will have to add secondary storage. The SFF chassis limits internal expansion compared with larger tower formats.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i5-8500 get inside the SFF case after hours of use?

The small-form-factor chassis and integrated UHD 630 graphics run cool enough that fan noise stays low during long office or browsing sessions.

Does the 16 GB of DDR4 and the 256 GB SSD cover everything I need, or must I supply my own monitor and cables?

The PC ships with 16 GB DDR4 and a 256 GB SSD installed; you will still need a display and any video cable that matches its DisplayPort output.

Will the DisplayPort on the UHD 630 work with the DVI monitor I already own?

The integrated UHD 630 provides a DisplayPort connection; a passive DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter lets you keep using your existing DVI screen.
