Business-ready dual-boot laptop

The ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 ships with Windows 10 Pro and Linux Mint 20 pre-installed on a 500GB PCIe SSD. Users select either operating system at startup and switch by rebooting. An 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with four cores and 16GB DDR4 memory handles office workloads and video calls.

Dual-boot workflow and port selection

The dual-boot arrangement lets developers test code in Linux and run proprietary tools in Windows without virtualisation overhead. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI, a microSD reader and a gigabit Ethernet jack cover docking, external displays and wired networks. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless connectivity.

Suits mobile professionals needing native Linux

Buyers who want both operating systems on bare metal without managing a hypervisor will benefit. The 14.0 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel and 720p webcam support daily conferencing. Users who need discrete graphics for 3D rendering, a touchscreen, or a larger display should look at other models.
