Business laptop with dual-boot OS

The Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Gen 2 is a 14.0 inch business laptop supplied new. It runs an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with four cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. The system includes 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 500GB PCIe SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and Linux Mint 20 configured as a dual-boot environment.

Dual-boot requires reboot to switch

The defining specification is the dual-boot configuration. Both operating systems cannot run simultaneously; switching between Windows 10 Pro and Linux Mint requires a full reboot. Buyers who need to run Windows and Linux applications at the same time should consider a virtualisation host or a second machine instead.

Suited for professionals needing native OS choice

This laptop suits professionals who want native performance in either Windows or Linux without virtualisation overhead. It is not for users who require simultaneous multi-OS workflows, discrete graphics acceleration, or a touchscreen display. The 720p webcam and 50WHr battery are adequate for typical office use.
