Lenovo ThinkPad T480 14" HD i5-7200U 16GB 2TB SSD No OS

Business-ready laptop for OS-flexible users

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480 is a 14.0" HD laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i5-7200U running at 2.50 GHz with a 3.10 GHz turbo. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a new 2TB SATA SSD but no operating system, so buyers choose and install their own Windows or Linux environment.

Upgrade from smaller drives or lower memory

The 2TB SSD replaces the smaller solid-state drives often fitted to earlier ThinkPad models, removing the storage ceiling that forces frequent clean-ups. Moving from 8GB to the fitted 16GB DDR4 eliminates the swapping bottleneck seen on lighter configurations, and the two memory slots allow a further increase to 32GB when workloads demand it.

Capacity and headroom for daily workloads

The 2TB drive comfortably holds large document libraries, local code repositories and media collections without external storage. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the 1366 x 768 panel for office applications and video playback, while the dual-core processor handles typical business multitasking; sustained heavy compute or modern 3D tasks will exceed the available graphics and thermal headroom.
