Mobile Workstation with Dual Storage

The Lenovo ThinkPad W540 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 Professional 64-bit. It combines an Intel Core i7-4800MQ quad-core processor at 2.7 GHz with 32 GB of DDR3 memory. Storage consists of a 512 GB mSATA SSD plus a 1 TB 2.5 inch hard drive. The 1920 x 1080 FHD anti-glare display is driven by NVIDIA Quadro K1100M graphics with 2 GB video memory and Intel HD Graphics 4600. A DVDRW drive, webcam, backlit numeric keyboard and 180 W AC adapter are included.

Professionals Needing ISV-Certified Graphics

This suit professionals who rely on ISV-certified Quadro drivers for CAD, DCC or scientific applications and who value the combined speed of an SSD boot drive with high-capacity mechanical storage. Buyers who need a touchscreen or a higher-resolution panel should look elsewhere. Systems requiring newer GPU architectures or different memory generations are not addressed by this hardware.

Quadro K1100M with 2 GB DDR5

The NVIDIA Quadro K1100M GPU includes 2 GB of dedicated DDR5 video memory and supports ISV certification for professional 3D workloads. It operates alongside Intel HD Graphics 4600 for display output and light compute tasks. This discrete GPU is soldered and cannot be upgraded, so the 2 GB frame buffer and Kepler-era feature set are fixed for the life of the system.
