Ultralight carbon-fibre chassis

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6 weighs between 2 and 2.9 lbs and uses a four-layer carbon-fibre construction with a magnesium alloy roll-cage. It passes 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks for extreme-condition durability. The 14.0-inch FHD IPS display runs at 1920 x 1080 without touchscreen input.

Mobile professionals needing durability and fast I/O

Business users who value a rugged, light laptop with Thunderbolt 3 for 40 Gbps data and charging will fit this device. Buyers who want more storage than 500 GB or require memory beyond the soldered 8 GB LPDDR3 should look elsewhere. The non-touch screen also rules out pen or finger interaction.

500 GB NVMe SSD and 8 GB LPDDR3 headroom

The 500 GB NVMe PCIe SSD provides quick boot and application loads for typical office workloads. 8 GB of soldered LPDDR3 handles multitasking with browser tabs and productivity suites comfortably. Heavy video editing, large datasets or virtual machines will exhaust both capacity and memory headroom.

Questions about this item

What operating system does this laptop come with so I can check if my existing software licences will run?

It ships with Windows 11 Pro already installed and activated.

Can I keep using my older USB-A flash drives and mouse with the ports on this machine?

Yes, the four USB ports include standard USB-A connectors so legacy peripherals work without adapters.

How do I verify the NVMe SSD is recognised at its full 500 GB capacity after first boot?

Open Settings > System > Storage or run Disk Management; the drive should show roughly 500 GB of available space.
