Questions about this item

Does this laptop need any extra parts or accessories to run Windows 10 Pro out of the box?

No. The unit ships with an Intel Core i7-7500U processor, 8GB of memory, a 500GB SSD and Windows 10 Pro already installed, so it is ready to use immediately.

Can I keep using my older USB-A peripherals with the four USB ports on this ThinkPad X1 Carbon?

Yes. The four USB ports include standard USB-A connectors, so existing mice, keyboards, drives and other USB-A devices will work without adapters.

How can I confirm the 14-inch WQHD IPS panel is running at its native 2560 x 1440 resolution after setup?

Open Windows Display Settings and verify the resolution slider shows 2560 x 1440 as the recommended setting; the screen should also appear sharp with no scaling artefacts.
