Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 9 i7-1185G7 14.0" FHD

This 14.0-inch laptop pairs an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with 16GB LPDDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. It runs Windows 11 Pro and features Intel Iris Xe graphics on a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6 support fast connectivity.

Professionals needing portable productivity

Suits mobile workers who value a light chassis, long battery life, and a quiet, fan-assisted design for office applications and video calls. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere, as the integrated Iris Xe GPU is limited to light creative tasks. Grade B cosmetic blemishes are present.

2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. It determines whether the laptop holds your full project library, virtual machines, and media cache without external drives. If your workload demands more internal storage, this unit will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

What charger must I already own to power the X1 Carbon Gen 9?

The laptop ships with a USB Type-C charger that plugs into either Thunderbolt 4 port, so no separate power brick is required.

Will my older USB-A mouse and keyboard work with the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports?

Yes, the two full-size USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports accept standard USB-A plugs directly without an adapter.

How can I verify the 2 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD is recognised after first boot?

Open Settings > System > Storage; the drive should appear as a single 2 TB volume with the Windows 11 Pro installation active.
