4K@60Hz Digital Signage Player

The LG HD30 plays 4K video at 60 Hz from USB drives or micro SD cards through its HDMI output. It targets installers who need a compact, fanless box for continuous looping content on commercial displays or home-theatre screens. The zinc-alloy chassis and included IR receiver allow discreet mounting behind a panel.

USB 8TB and micro SD 1TB media capacity

The player reads USB storage up to 8 TB and micro SD cards up to 1 TB, formatted as FAT32, exFAT or NTFS. H.265/HEVC decoding handles 3840-pixel resolution smoothly, while H.264 or 1080p material also plays back without issue. There is no internal storage, so all content must reside on the removable media.

H.265/HEVC decoding at 4K 60 Hz

The single specification that determines suitability is the H.265/HEVC decoder running at 4K 60 Hz. If your signage workflow relies on this codec and frame rate, the HD30 meets the requirement; if you need a different codec, higher frame rate or network-based content management, this unit will not fit.

Questions about this item

Will the LG HD30 media player output 4K@60Hz over HDMI to an older 1080P display?

The player supports 4K@60Hz resolution and will downscale automatically to match a 1080P screen's native resolution via the HDMI output.

How can I verify the LG HD30 is decoding H.265/HEVC content correctly after setup?

Play an H.265/HEVC video file from a USB drive or micro SD card; smooth playback without stutter confirms the decoder is working as intended.

What cables and accessories are included with the LG HD30, and what must I provide?

The box contains the media player, a remote control, and an IR receiver cable; you must supply your own USB drive or micro SD card, HDMI or AV cables, and speakers for audio.
