Wireless 4K HDMI Casting Adapter

The LG Wireless HDMI G17 is a wireless display adapter that streams 4K video and audio from smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs to TVs, monitors or projectors. It connects via HDMI and uses wireless protocols including AirPlay, Miracast and DLNA. The compact black dongle measures 6.7 by 2.3 by 0.78 inches.

Home Users and Presenters Seeking Cable-Free 4K

This adapter suits anyone who wants to mirror or extend a Windows, Android, macOS or iOS screen without running HDMI cables across a room. It is not for buyers who need HDCP-protected streaming from iOS devices to services such as Netflix or Prime Video, nor for setups that require a wired network connection.

4K at 30Hz Maximum Output Resolution

The single specification that decides fit is the 4K at 30Hz output limit. If the target display or source content requires 4K at a higher refresh rate, this adapter will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the G17 adapter let me mirror my older 1080p laptop to a 4K TV without extra cables?

Yes, the adapter supports 1080p input and outputs up to 4K, so a 1080p laptop can mirror wirelessly to a 4K TV using the single HDMI connection.

How do I confirm the G17 is delivering a stable 4K 30 Hz signal after I plug it in?

Play a 4K test video on the source device and check that the TV’s on-screen info shows a 4K signal at 30 Hz with smooth playback and no drops.

Does the box include an HDMI cable and a power supply, or must I buy them separately?

The package contains the G17 dongle only; an HDMI cable and a USB power source are not included and must be provided separately.
