Power adapter for Dell servers

This Lind DC adapter accepts an 11-16V input and delivers 135W to compatible Dell equipment. It is intended for technicians integrating power into server racks or cabinets where a direct DC source is available. The unit includes a 96-inch output cable terminated with a 5.0x7.4 Bondi connector and a 36-inch bare-wire input lead.

Thermal and electrical behaviour

The adapter operates passively without a fan, so it adds no audible noise to the rack environment. Heat is dissipated through the metal housing during normal 135W load. Power draw at the input matches the 135W output plus conversion losses, staying within the 11-16V supply range.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 96-inch output cable with the 5.0x7.4 Bondi connector on the Dell 135W unit?

Connect the 5.0x7.4 Bondi plug to the Dell 135W power input, route the 96-inch cable to the rack, then terminate the 36-inch bare-wire end to a 11-16V DC source, ensuring polarity matches the supply.

What maintenance or replacement will the bare-wire termination need later?

Inspect the 36-inch bare-wire ends periodically for oxidation or loose strands; re-strip and re-terminate if corrosion appears, and replace the full cable assembly if the 5.0x7.4 Bondi connector shows wear or intermittent contact.
