Link Depot Corp. C6M-14-RDB 14 ft Cat 6 network ethernet cable red

What this cable is and who uses it

The Link Depot C6M-14-RDB is a 14 ft Category 6 patch cable with a red PVC jacket. It uses 24 AWG unshielded twisted-pair construction and is rated for 550 MHz bandwidth under the TIA/EIA 568B.2 standard. The cable supports 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This cable suits installers who need a standard 14 ft red Cat 6 run for Gigabit Ethernet between a switch, router or wall jack and a desktop, printer or access point. Builders who require shielded cable for noisy environments, plenum-rated jackets for air-handling spaces or lengths other than 14 ft should look elsewhere.

The spec that decides fit

The decisive specification is the 14 ft length combined with the Category 6 550 MHz rating. If the distance between your two devices exceeds 14 ft you need a longer cable; if the run is shorter the extra slack may be unwanted.
