Internal DVD writer for desktop PCs

This Lite-On IHAS524 drive installs in a standard 5.25-inch bay and connects through a SATA interface. It reads and writes CD and DVD media, including dual-layer DVD-RW discs, making it suitable for software installation, data backup or disc authoring on a desktop system. The drive is supplied new and ready for immediate integration.

Sustained write performance on dual-layer media

During long burning sessions the drive maintains a steady write rate across the full dual-layer capacity without the speed drops seen in short bursts. Thermal management keeps the mechanism stable so data integrity remains consistent from the first sector to the last. It is not intended for Blu-ray playback or for users who need faster-than-DVD transfer rates.
