Loctite 444 Instant Adhesive 20g

Loctite 444 is a clear, medium-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive supplied in a 20 g bottle. It bonds metal, plastic and rubber and is intended for interior assembly and repair tasks where a fast, transparent joint is required.

Fits small-part assembly workflows

The adhesive cures on contact with ambient humidity, so no dispenser, mixer or external accelerator is mandatory. It fills gaps up to .007 in and leaves an electrically insulating bond line, freeing the user from separate insulation steps on compatible substrates.

Behaviour under sustained load

The cured joint is not rated for impact resistance, so designs subject to repeated shock or vibration should use a different adhesive. Viscosity remains between 550 and 850 cP during application, and the bond complies with 29 CFR 1910.1200 for workplace safety documentation.

Questions about this item

What gap size can the 444 adhesive fill before bond strength drops?

The adhesive fills gaps up to .007 in, so joints tighter than that will reach full strength.

Does the 444 adhesive generate noticeable heat or fumes during a full-day production run?

Cure starts with ambient humidity and stays at room temperature; no external heat or strong odour is produced.

Which accelerator must I already have to speed up the 444 cure on low-humidity days?

Loctite SF 712 is the compatible accelerator listed for this adhesive.
