Loctite 290 is a green wicking threadlocker designed for maintenance and repair technicians who need to secure pre-assembled fasteners without disassembly. The anaerobic formula penetrates threads by capillary action and provides medium-strength locking on brass, bronze, copper, iron, manganese, Monel, nickel and steel up to 1/2 in diameter.

The adhesive develops a breakaway torque of 90 in-lb after full anaerobic cure and remains workable for 20 minutes during assembly. Supplied in a 1.69 fl oz bottle, it meets ASTM D-5363 and MIL-S-46163-A standards and is compatible with Loctite 7649 primer for faster curing on inactive metals.

Wicking grade for assembled fasteners only
