Product Identity

The Logico 18/6 bare copper cable is a 1000 ft pull of unshielded stranded wire on a wooden reel. It carries a CMR and CL3R rating for riser and general-purpose low-voltage installations.

Who It Suits

Installers wiring door and window sensors, motion detectors or keypads to alarm panels will find the six-conductor layout convenient. Buyers who need shielded cable or a higher conductor count for complex data runs should look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The 18 AWG stranded bare copper conductors set the current-carrying capacity and flexibility for each circuit. This gauge determines whether the cable meets the voltage-drop limits of a specific security system design.

Questions about this item

Will the 18 AWG stranded bare copper conductors need replacement if the cable is pulled through tight conduit?

Stranded 18 AWG bare copper resists fatigue better than solid wire, so it tolerates repeated bending during pulls without work-hardening or snapping.

What installation limit appears first when running this CMR cable vertically through multiple floors?

The CMR riser rating permits vertical runs in shafts, but the CL3R power-limited classification caps the circuit voltage and current before fire-spread concerns arise.

Does the unshielded white jacket add noticeable heat or electrical noise when the alarm circuit runs continuously?

Unshielded 18/6 carries only low-voltage signalling currents, so it generates negligible heat and picks up minimal interference in typical security installations.
