Ready for the pool

The Logitech Ultimate Ears BOOM 4 984-001963 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for outdoor use. Its IPX7 rating means it can be submerged in 3.3 feet of water for 30 minutes and will float. The black cylindrical design delivers 360-degree audio with deep bass balanced for clarity.

Steps up from basic phone audio

This speaker replaces a phone or tablet speaker when you need louder, richer sound that travels further. The jump is worth it for poolside gatherings, beach trips or shower singing where water exposure would damage a phone. A 15-hour battery at default volume covers a full day without hunting for a charger.

Fits in a backpack or bike cage

At 7.3 inches tall and 2.9 inches wide, the 620-gram speaker slides into a daypack or a bottle cage. The attached bungee lets you hang it from a hook or handlebar. Bluetooth range reaches 147 feet so the controlling phone can stay dry indoors while the speaker plays outside. Minimum 52% post-consumer recycled plastic reduces waste.

Questions about this item

What are the height and width of the BOOM 4 speaker?

The speaker measures 7.3 in (184 mm) tall and 2.9 in (73 mm) wide, so it fits in most cup holders and small bags.

How do I pair the speaker with my phone for the first time?

Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker until the tone sounds, then select BOOM 4 in your device's Bluetooth list; the step people miss is holding the button long enough to enter pairing mode.

Can the internal battery be replaced when it no longer holds a charge?

The lithium-ion battery is sealed inside the IPX7-rated enclosure and is not user-replaceable; the unit is designed for the full product life without battery service.
