Questions about this item

Does the BOOM 4 need any extra hardware to stream music from my phone?

No. Any smartphone or tablet that supports the Bluetooth A2DP profile can send audio to the speaker without cables or adapters.

Can I pair this speaker with my older Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM for stereo sound?

Yes. The PartyUp feature in the Ultimate Ears Boom app links the BOOM 4 with MEGABOOM, EVERBOOM, EPICBOOM and HYPERBOOM models for multi-speaker playback.

How do I know the battery is actually delivering the rated 15 hours?

Play at the default 30 % volume level; the lithium-ion cell is rated for up to 15 hours under that condition, though real-world time varies with content and environment.
