128 GB portable SSD + M.2 SATA enclosure

The bundle pairs a 128 GB external SSD with a tool-free aluminium enclosure that accepts M.2 SATA drives in 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. The SSD connects over USB 3.2 Gen 2 and delivers sequential reads up to 550 MB/s. It works with Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone 15/Pro. An LED indicates activity and the drive supports TRIM and SMART.

Upgrade from slower USB flash or mechanical drives

Replacing a USB 2.0 stick or a spinning portable hard drive with this SSD cuts file-transfer waits and removes moving parts. The jump is worth it when you regularly move multi-gigabyte projects, back up phone media or need a rugged drive for travel. The enclosure lets you reuse any compatible M.2 SATA module you already own.

Check your M.2 drive and host port before ordering

The enclosure only supports M.2 SATA drives with M-key or B+M-key pinouts; NVMe drives will not function. Confirm your computer or phone has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 or USB 3.1 Gen 2 port to reach the quoted speed. The SSD itself is bus-powered, so no external adapter is required.

Questions about this item

What M.2 form-factor lengths does the included enclosure accept?

The aluminium enclosure fits 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 drives with M-Key or B+M-Key notches.

How is the 128 GB SSD installed inside the enclosure, and what step is often missed?

The drive slides in tool-free; the commonly missed step is securing it with the captive screw so the SATA contacts stay fully seated.

Will the 128 GB drive need firmware updates or component replacement during its life?

No firmware updates are required; the SATA SSD has no user-replaceable parts and relies on built-in TRIM and SMART for long-term health.
