A 2.5" SATA SAS drive tray with metal lock for MB991 MB994 backplanes
This 2.5 inch SATA and SAS drive caddy includes a metal lock for secure mounting. It is designed for ICY DOCK MB991 and MB994 series internal mobile rack RAID backplanes. The tray suits builders adding hot-swap bays to a server or workstation chassis.
The tray slides into the mobile rack cage and locks the drive in place without tools. It requires a compatible MB991 or MB994 series backplane installed in a 5.25 inch bay. Builders using other backplane models or fixed drive cages cannot use this tray.
Measured against everything we stock in SATA, IDE & M.2 Drive Adapters, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

The metal lock is designed to keep the 2.5 SATA or SAS drive firmly seated in the MB991 or MB994 backplane during sustained use.
The tray is a passive metal caddy with no moving parts, so it adds no audible noise or measurable heat beyond the drive itself.
