LORDWORLD

LORDWORLD M.2 NVMe SATA USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps Enclosure 2230-2280

SKU CH-YJ9K-116KP

Tool-free M.2 enclosure takes NVMe or SATA SSDs from 2230 to 2280, hits 10 Gbps over USB 3.2, and includes an aluminium shell with thermal pads for cooling

  • Supports NVMe and SATA SSDs in M-Key and B+M Key formats
  • Fits 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 drive lengths for broad compatibility
  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 delivers up to 10 Gbps with NVMe drives
  • Tool-free two-step installation enables quick drive swaps on the go
  • Aluminium shell with two thermal pads conducts heat away from the SSD

Portable NVMe and SATA enclosure

The LORDWORLD adapter turns a bare M.2 drive into an external USB 3.2 Gen 2 device. It accepts both NVMe PCIe and SATA protocol SSDs with M-Key or B+M Key connectors. Supported lengths are 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. No screwdriver is needed for installation.

Travellers and laptop upgraders

It suits anyone who wants to reuse a laptop SSD or move large files between machines without opening a case. The bus-powered design and included USB-C and USB-A cables make it ready for immediate use on Windows, macOS or Linux. Builders who need a second internal slot or a desktop docking station with active cooling should look elsewhere.

Speeds up to 1000 MB/s on NVMe

NVMe drives reach a theoretical 10 Gbps interface ceiling, delivering real-world transfers around 1000 MB/s. SATA SSDs are limited to the 6 Gbps SATA link, so they run slower. The aluminium shell and two thermal pads dissipate heat during sustained workloads, but very long writes on high-performance NVMe drives may still throttle.

Questions about this item

What M.2 key types and lengths does this enclosure accept so my SSD will fit?

It supports M-Key and B+M Key NVMe or SATA SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths.

Will my older SATA M.2 SSD still reach its full speed when connected through the USB 3.2 Gen 2 port?

Yes, SATA protocol drives run at up to 6Gbps through the same USB-C connection.

How can I confirm the enclosure is transferring data at the advertised 10Gbps rate with my NVMe drive?

The blue LED flashes during active transfers, and you should see sequential speeds approaching 1000MB/s in a benchmark tool.
