What this cable does

The LORDWORLD SR-C2000 connects a 3.5 mm TRS microphone or line-level source to an Apple Lightning port. It is made for iPhone and iPad users who need to record external audio directly into iOS apps.

Installation notes

Plug the 3.5 mm jack into your microphone or wireless receiver and insert the Lightning connector into the iOS device; the cable supplies plug-in power so most on-camera video microphones work without batteries. The adapter only accepts input, so it cannot send audio from the phone to headphones or speakers.

Check before ordering

Confirm your iPhone or iPad still uses a Lightning port rather than USB-C, because this connector will not fit newer models. Also verify that your microphone or mixer uses a standard 3.5 mm TRS output, as TS or TRRS plugs may not make proper contact.

Questions about this item

How do I know the SR-C2000 is recording correctly after I plug it into my iPhone?

Open a recording app, speak into the connected microphone, and watch the input level meter move; the adapter only passes audio in, so no sound comes out of the Lightning port.

What comes with the cable and what must I supply myself?

The box contains the 9-inch SR-C2000 adapter with a 3.5 mm TRS plug and a Lightning connector; you provide the microphone, wireless receiver, recorder or mixer that plugs into the 3.5 mm jack.

Which version of the SR-C2000 should I choose for an on-camera video microphone?

The single model SR-C2000 delivers plug-in power on its 3.5 mm TRS input, making it compatible with common on-camera video microphones that need that power.
