LORDWORLD ToughArmor MB994SP-4S 4 x 2.5 SAS/SATA hard drive adapter

SKU CH-FEFE-K9PPG

Fits four 2.5 SAS or SATA drives in one 5.25 bay with dual 40mm fans and full metal build

  • Supports four 2.5 drives in one 5.25 bay
  • Full metal chassis rated for medical and military use
  • Dual 40mm fans keep temperatures low under load
  • Single-channel SAS 12Gbps or SATA 6Gbps throughput
  • Two 4-pin power plugs simplify cable management

Four-bay 2.5-inch mobile rack

The ToughArmor MB994SP-4S fits four 2.5 SATA or SAS drives from 5mm to 15mm thick into one external 5.25 bay. Its full metal chassis is built for medical, military, media server and IPC deployments where Tier 1 companies demand rugged reliability.

Upgrade from single-drive bays

Replacing individual 2.5-inch trays with this four-bay enclosure consolidates cabling through two 4-pin power connectors and supports SATA 6Gbps or SAS 12Gbps on a single channel. The jump is worth it when a project needs high-performance RAID density without sacrificing a second bay.

Sustained-load cooling

Dual 40mm fans pull air across all four drives simultaneously, keeping temperatures stable during continuous RAID rebuilds or long media ingest sessions. The metal frame acts as a heatsink, so throughput remains consistent rather than throttling after a short burst.

Questions about this item

Will the MB994SP-4S fit in a standard 5.25 inch bay and what drive thicknesses does it accept?

The enclosure mounts in a single external 5.25 bay and holds four 2.5 inch SATA or SAS drives from 5 mm to 15 mm thick.

How do I connect power to the MB994SP-4S and what is the common mistake?

Two 4 pin power connectors supply the unit; the frequent error is plugging only one, leaving half the drives unpowered.

What maintenance will the dual 40 mm fans need over time?

Periodically clean dust from the fan blades and vents; if a fan becomes noisy or stops spinning, replace it with a matching 40 mm unit.
