Adds one Type-A and one reversible Type-C port at 5 Gbps through a PCIe x1 slot using a uPD720201 chipset, includes low-profile and standard brackets, driver-free on Windows 10/11, Mac OS and Linux
This LORDWORLD adapter adds one USB 3.0 Type-A and one USB Type-C port to a desktop PC through a PCIe 1x slot. It uses the uPD720201 chipset and includes both low-profile and standard brackets for different chassis. The card targets users who need extra SuperSpeed USB ports without replacing their motherboard.
The controller delivers up to 5Gbps bandwidth and is compliant with USB 3.1 Gen1, 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 specifications. The Type-C port supports 5V/3A charging for compatible devices. High-power peripherals such as SSDs require an auxiliary power connection; the adapter cannot carry video, audio or Thunderbolt signals.
The card operates without a fan, so it adds no audible noise to the system. Windows 10, 11, macOS 10.8.2 and later, and Linux work without extra drivers; Windows 7 and 8 need the supplied driver package. Power draw stays within the PCIe slot limits for typical USB devices.

The adapter uses a PCIe 1x connection, so it will operate at the slot's native speed; the uPD720201 chipset supports Multiple INs to fully utilise the 5Gbps USB 3.1 Gen1 bandwidth.
Connect a device that reports charging current; the port supplies up to 5V/3A for power charging, and the OS should enumerate the link at 5Gbps (SuperSpeed) if the driver loads correctly.
Both brackets are supplied; an extra power supply is required when attaching high-power devices such as an SSD because the connector only transfers USB 3.1/3.0 data and power.
