  • Waterproof and dustproof panel mount protects connections in harsh environments
  • Latch-locking RJ45 connectors prevent accidental disconnection during vibration

  • Flush-mount dashboard design integrates cleanly into vehicle panels
  • Versatile 100cm extension suits automotive and general-purpose installations

Car-panel extension cable

This CAT6 Ethernet cable has a male plug on one end and a panel-mount female socket on the other, letting you run a network connection through a dashboard or bulkhead. It is intended for vehicle installations but works in any setting that needs a sealed pass-through. The 100cm length bridges the gap between an interior device and an external jack.

Simple flush-mount fitting

You fit the socket by using an existing opening or cutting a new hole in the panel, then clipping the unit into place for a flush finish. The latch-locking mechanism holds the mating plug firmly so vibration does not disconnect it. No special tools are required beyond what is needed to make the panel cut-out.

CAT6 bandwidth ceiling

The link is limited to the CAT6 standard, so maximum throughput tops out at the cable category rating rather than newer classes. Shielding and connector quality determine whether the full rated performance is reached in practice. Runs longer than the supplied 100cm would need additional cable that meets the same specification.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the CAT6 cable is passing data correctly after panel-mount installation?

Connect a network tester or link two devices and confirm a 1 Gbps link light on both ends; the latch-locking RJ45 connectors should click securely into place.

What comes in the package and what extra parts are needed for a dashboard mount?

The box contains one 100 cm waterproof RJ45 male-to-female cable with integrated panel socket; you only need a suitable dashboard hole or cut-out for flush mounting.

Which length should I choose for a typical vehicle dashboard installation?

The 100 cm version reaches from a centre-console router to a front-panel mount with slack for routing behind trim; no other lengths are offered.
