Bowfront Desk Shell 72×36

The Lorell 69406 is a bowfront desk shell finished in Cherry laminate. It provides a single expansive worksurface for office professionals who need room for monitors and paperwork. The unit ships as one piece and is intended to be paired with separately sold pedestals for storage. Its curved front edge adds depth at the centre while keeping the footprint rectangular.

Capacity and headroom

The 1-inch thick laminate top spans 72 inches wide by 36 inches deep, giving ample space for dual-monitor setups and reference materials. Two grommet holes route cables cleanly through the surface. Without added pedestals the shell offers no built-in drawers or filing capacity, so users requiring immediate storage must purchase hanging box/file units separately.

Metal-to-metal cam-lock assembly

Pre-drilled holes with metal inserts accept screws from compatible pedestals using a metal-to-metal cam-lock system. Adjustable floor guides level the frame on uneven surfaces. Brackets included with the shell support L-shaped configurations and bridge returns for extended layouts. The 3 mm PVC edges protect the laminate from daily impact.

Yes, the desk shell stands 29.5" high, matching standard pedestal heights for a flush fit.

How can I confirm the 1" thick laminate top and 3mm PVC edges are properly assembled?

Check that the Cherry laminate surface feels solid, edges are smooth with no gaps, and the two grommet holes are cleanly cut.
