Lorex Connect V3 4K PoE Turret Camera

The Lorex Connect V3 is a 4K wired PoE turret camera designed for the Lorex Connect V-Series NVR system. It delivers 8-megapixel video resolution and uses a single RJ45 cable for both power and data transmission. The camera features smart security lighting and a warning siren for active deterrence.

Suits owners of a Lorex Connect V-Series NVR

This camera is built exclusively for the Lorex Connect V-Series NVR and will not operate with other recorders or standalone setups. Buyers who need a camera that works with a different NVR brand, a wireless connection, or continuous recording without a compatible V-Series recorder should look elsewhere.

Requires Lorex Connect V-Series NVR for operation

The single specification that determines compatibility is the system requirement: this camera must be paired with a Lorex Connect V-Series NVR. Without that specific recorder, the camera cannot record, stream, or receive power through the PoE connection.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the turret camera and fit the weather-resistant RJ45 gland so water cannot enter?

Use the supplied template to mark holes, secure the base with the three anchors and screws, then thread the Ethernet cable through the gland and tighten the cap until the seal compresses evenly around the jacket.

Which component will need attention first during long-term outdoor use?

The Smart Security Lighting band and the gland seal are the items most exposed to weather; inspect the light output and the cable-entry seal annually and replace either piece if output drops or the seal cracks.

What limits continuous 4K recording when the camera is powered through PoE?

Recording is event-based rather than continuous, so the practical limit is the NVR storage capacity and the frequency of motion-triggered events, not the PoE power budget.
