5 ft Cat 6 cable pair

The Lumenzi EC-6-5-BK-2 is a two-pack of black Cat 6 Ethernet cables, each five feet long. Both ends terminate in gold-plated RJ45 connectors with snagless boots. The cables use 100 % bare copper conductors and a PVC jacket rated for indoor, outdoor and direct-burial use.

Shielded UTP with 550 MHz bandwidth

Shielded construction and a tested bandwidth of 550 MHz keep crosstalk low during sustained transfers. The PVC jacket remains flexible in cold weather and resists UV damage, so the cable runs cool and quiet whether routed through a wall, across a garden or buried in conduit.

10 Gbps up to 55 metres

The cable supports 10 Gbps speeds for runs up to 55 metres and 1 Gbps up to 100 metres. Buyers needing longer 10 Gbps links or fibre-grade latency should look at higher-category or optical solutions.

Questions about this item

How do I route the 5 ft Cat 6 cable outdoors without damaging the RJ45 clip?

The snagless boot protects the clip during pulls; press the tab fully down until it clicks and avoid sharp bends tighter than the cable's natural curve.

Will the gold-plated contacts or PVC jacket need replacement after years in direct burial?

Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and the UV-resistant PVC jacket is rated for outdoor burial; neither requires scheduled replacement under normal conditions.

At what distance does the 10 Gbps limit drop to 1 Gbps on this 550 MHz cable?

The cable supports 10 Gbps up to 55 m and 1 Gbps up to 100 m; a 5 ft run stays well within the higher speed envelope.
