Right-Angle USB-C Cable

This LUOM USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 cable uses a 90-degree L-shaped connector to reduce strain on ports and keep desks tidy. It suits laptop owners, dock users and mobile gamers who charge while holding the device. The two-pack provides a spare for travel or a second workstation. Condition is new.

20 Gbps and 4K 60 Hz Limits

Data tops out at 20 Gbps, so large transfers finish quickly but do not reach Thunderbolt 3 or 4 peak bandwidth. Video output supports 4K at 60 Hz with HDR 10-bit colour; higher refresh rates at 4K or 8K resolutions are not possible over this cable. The 3.3 ft length keeps signal integrity within spec.

Replaces Straight USB 3.0 or 2.0 Cables

Swapping a legacy USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 Type-C lead for this cable adds 20 Gbps throughput, 100 W Power Delivery and 4K 60 Hz video in one wire. The upgrade is worth it when you charge a MacBook Pro or Dell XPS at full speed while driving an external monitor. Buyers who need longer runs or Thunderbolt 40 Gbps speeds should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 3.3 ft two-pack or a different length?

This listing is the 3.3 ft two-pack with 90-degree L-shaped connectors. The right-angle design reduces strain on ports and keeps the cable flat against the desk, which is useful for gaming, video watching or charging while the device rests on a surface.

What does 20 Gbps mean when I copy files between my laptop and an external SSD?

The cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 at up to 20 Gbps. In practice you can move a 10 GB file in only a few seconds, roughly twice the speed of USB 3.0 or 3.1 Gen 1 cables and 20 times faster than USB 2.0.

Does the USB-C connector limit video to 4K 60 Hz or can it do more?

The cable carries 4K UHD at 3840×2160 or 4096×2160 at 60 Hz with HDR 10-bit colour. It also handles 2K at 144 Hz or 120 Hz. The USB-C interface caps the video stream at those resolutions and refresh rates.
