LUOM 20503 Stereo Adapter Pair

This two-pack of LUOM 20503 adapters lets you plug standard 3.5 mm headphones or portable players into equipment that only offers a 6.35 mm stereo jack. It is aimed at musicians, podcasters and home-audio users who need a simple gender change without extra cables.

Installation and Common Issues

The 5 in. pigtail plugs straight into the 6.35 mm socket; the 360 degree grip treads make insertion and removal easy even with tight panel spacing. The only frequent mistake is using a TS or TRRS plug instead of the required three-conductor TRS plug, which leaves one channel silent or creates a short.

TRS Conductor Requirement

This converter works exclusively with TRS 3.5 mm plugs carrying tip, ring and sleeve connections. It will not pass audio correctly with two-conductor TS or four-conductor TRRS plugs, so verify your cable type before buying.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the LUOM 20503 adapter is working correctly after connecting my headphones to an amplifier?

Plug the 6.35mm male end into the amplifier jack, insert your 3.5mm TRS headphone plug into the female port, and verify stereo sound plays through both channels without noise.

What does the 2-pack include and is any extra cable or tool required for installation?

The pack contains two gold-plated 6.35mm male to 3.5mm female stereo adapters; no additional cables or tools are needed for a direct connection.

Which version should I choose if my headphone plug has three metal sections separated by two insulators?

That three-conductor TRS plug matches the adapter's design, so the standard LUOM 20503 2-pack is the correct choice.
