The 6.6 ft nylon-braided cable suits desktop PCs, laptops and gaming monitors needing high-resolution video and audio transport.

Sustained Load Behaviour

HBR3 signalling and DSC 1.2 compression keep the link stable at 8K 60 Hz with 10-bit HDR or 4K 144 Hz during long sessions. FEC forward error correction and 28 AWG tinned-copper conductors reduce bit errors over the full length. The cable also carries 32 audio channels and supports Dynamic HDR without signal drop-out.

Upgrade Path and Limits

Replaces older DisplayPort 1.2 or 1.3 cables that cap at lower refresh rates or lack DSC support. The jump is worth it when driving 4K 144 Hz, 2K 240 Hz or 8K 60 Hz panels on RTX 30-series or Radeon RX 6800/6900 GPUs.
