LUOM LJ-DP16K DisplayPort 2.1 cable

The LUOM LJ-DP16K is a 10 ft DisplayPort 2.1 cable rated for 40 Gbit/s bandwidth. It connects a DisplayPort 2.1 source to a DisplayPort 2.1 display using male-to-male connectors. The cable supports resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and high refresh rates at lower resolutions, making it suitable for gaming monitors and professional displays. It is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.4 and 1.2 devices.

Sustained signal integrity with triple shielding

The cable uses a 28 AWG oxygen-free copper conductor with triple-layer shielding to maintain signal quality over the full 10 ft length. It supports HBR10, HBR3, DSC, FEC Forward Error Correction, HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4. These features help deliver stable, flicker-free transmission at 4K 144 Hz, 2K 240 Hz and 1080p 360 Hz during extended gaming or video sessions. Multi-stream transport and stereoscopic 3D are also supported.

Durable nylon braid for daily routing

A nylon braided jacket protects the triple-shielded construction from abrasion and kinking during installation and daily use. Male-to-male DisplayPort 2.1 connectors feature latches for a secure fit on graphics cards such as Radeon R9 290, GTX 980 and GTX 1080, and monitors from brands including BenQ, Dell, HP, Acer, iiyama and Samsung. The 10 ft length allows flexible routing between desk-mounted PCs and wall-mounted displays without strain.

Questions about this item

Does the 10 ft triple-shielded cable run hot or draw extra power during all-day 8K 60 Hz use?

No — it is a passive copper cable with no active electronics, so it produces no heat and draws no power beyond the negligible signal current from the DisplayPort source.

What must my graphics card and monitor already have for this DisplayPort 2.1 cable to work?

Both devices need a DisplayPort 2.1, 2.0, 1.4 or 1.2 port; the cable is male-to-male and backwards compatible, so any DP version from 1.2 upward will link.

Will the 40 Gbit/s link work with my older GTX 980 or Radeon R9 290?

Yes — the cable is backwards compatible with DP 1.4 and 1.2, so it will run at the maximum rate those cards support (HBR3 or HBR2) without signal loss.
