LUOM LJ-DP16K DisplayPort 2.1 cable

This LUOM LJ-DP16K cable carries a DisplayPort 2.1 signal at up to 40 Gbit/s over 6.6 ft. It is built for owners of 8K monitors or high-refresh 4K and 2K panels who need the full HBR10 bandwidth. The male-to-male connectors fit standard DP ports on desktops, laptops and projectors. Buyers who need longer runs or fibre-optic isolation should look elsewhere.

Triple-shielded 28 AWG oxygen-free copper build

The cable uses solid copper conductors wrapped in three shielding layers to reject interference. A nylon braid protects the jacket from abrasion during routing behind desks or through cable trays. Both ends terminate in standard DisplayPort 2.1 plugs with latching tabs that hold firm in vertical GPU ports. Installers who require angled or low-profile heads will need a different design.

Replaces older DP 1.4 or 1.2 links for 8K 60 Hz

Stepping up from a legacy cable unlocks 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz and 2K at 360 Hz without DSC compression. The link is backward compatible with DP 2.0, 1.4 and 1.2 hardware, so existing GPUs such as GTX 980, GTX 1080 or Radeon R9 290 work immediately. Systems limited to DP 1.2 bandwidth will not reach the higher refresh rates.

Questions about this item

What bandwidth does the DisplayPort 2.1 interface cap at on this cable?

The cable is rated for HBR10 and supports up to 40 Gbit/s bandwidth over the DisplayPort 2.1 connection.

What physical space and connector type does this 6.6 ft cable need to fit?

It uses male-to-male DisplayPort 2.1 connectors on both ends and measures 6.6 ft in length with a nylon-braided jacket.

How do I install this DisplayPort 2.1 cable and what step is often missed?

Plug each male DisplayPort 2.1 connector firmly into the source and display ports until the latches click; the common mistake is not securing the latch, which can cause signal dropouts.
