Cable specification and target use

This DisplayPort 2.1 cable carries up to 80Gbps over a 10 ft link. It supports 16K@30Hz, 8K@120Hz, 4K@240Hz and 2K@360Hz with DSC. The male-to-male connectors suit PCs, laptops, monitors and TVs that need high refresh rates at high resolutions. It is not for runs longer than 10 ft or for installations that require angled or locking connectors.

Shielding, conductor and thermal behaviour

A triple-shielded design with a 28AWG solid copper conductor resists EMI during normal desktop or gaming sessions. The premium aluminium shell dissipates heat from the connector housing so the cable stays cool to the touch at typical 4K@144Hz or 8K@60Hz loads. No active cooling is required and the cable adds no audible noise to the system.

Sustained high-bandwidth operation

Under continuous 80Gbps throughput such as 4K@240Hz or 8K@120Hz the aluminium shell maintains stable connector temperatures. The 15,000-bend lifespan rating indicates the cable tolerates repeated handling without signal degradation. It is not rated for in-wall runs or permanent outdoor exposure where temperature cycles exceed normal indoor limits.
