Product identity

The LUOM LJ-DP8K is a DisplayPort 1.4 cable built for gamers and creators who need 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz from a single male-to-male link. It carries HBR3 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps over a 3.3 ft run, with triple shielding and solid copper conductors for stable signal delivery. Backwards compatibility with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 lets it slot into existing monitor and graphics-card ports without adapters.

Capacity and headroom

The cable handles 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, 5120 x 2880 at 60 Hz and 4096 x 2160 at 144 Hz, plus 2560 x 1440 up to 240 Hz and 1920 x 1080 at the same rate. HDR10, HDCP 2.2, DSC, Forward Error Correction and Multi-Stream Transport are supported, so high-refresh gaming and 10-bit colour pipelines stay intact. It runs out of headroom above 8K 60 Hz or 4K beyond 144 Hz, and it cannot carry newer UHBR speeds or 16K resolutions.

Build integration

Male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 connectors plug directly into GPU and monitor ports; no external power or active electronics are required. The 3.3 ft length suits same-desk setups but will not reach across a room or through a wall plate. Triple-layer shielding and a nylon braid resist EMI and cable stress, freeing you from signal drop-outs during long sessions. Buyers needing longer runs, in-wall ratings or USB-C alternate-mode sources must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the LUOM LJ-DP8K cable run at 4K 144 Hz with my older DisplayPort 1.2 monitor and graphics card?

Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2, 1.2a and 1.1 so it will link at the highest rate both devices support, up to 4K 144 Hz if they allow it.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz after I plug it in?

Check your GPU control panel or monitor OSD — they will show the active resolution and refresh rate, such as 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz or 3840 x 2160 at 144 Hz.

Does the 3.3 ft LUOM LJ-DP8K come with any adapters or do I need to buy a DisplayPort-to-HDMI converter separately?

The box contains only the male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 cable; any HDMI or other adapters must be purchased separately.
