18Gbps HDMI 2.0 Audio Extractor

The LUOM OZV8E extracts audio from a single HDMI source and delivers it through 3.5mm jack, Toslink, coaxial and HDMI audio ports. It passes 4K video at 60Hz with HDR and HDCP 2.3 compliance. A four-position switch selects TV, 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 channel output for the connected receiver or amplifier.

HDMI 2.0 bandwidth and format limits

The 18Gbps link caps video at 3840 x 2160 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, so higher frame rates or 8K signals are not supported. HDCP 2.3 and 10-bit HDR pass through unchanged. Toslink and coaxial outputs carry LPCM 2.0 or 5.1 plus Dolby Digital and DTS core formats only; they cannot transmit Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos or DTS:X bitstreams.

Replaces basic TV speakers or limited ARC

This unit upgrades systems where the display lacks sufficient audio outputs or the receiver cannot decode modern formats over ARC. It is not for installations that require HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, 8K pass-through or more than one HDMI input. Buyers needing multi-source switching or higher video specifications should consider a full AV receiver instead.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 3.5mm jack, Toslink, coaxial or HDMI audio port for my receiver?

Use the HDMI audio port for full 7.1-channel formats including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Toslink and coaxial carry up to 5.1-channel LPCM, Dolby Digital and DTS. The 3.5mm jack provides analog stereo only.

What does the 18Gbps bandwidth mean when I connect a 4K source?

It supports 4K at 60Hz with 10-bit HDR pass-through, so the video signal reaches your display at full quality while audio is extracted to the separate outputs.

How does the HDMI 2.0 interface with ARC affect what I can hear?

The HDMI 2.0 input handles 18Gbps video and the ARC function returns audio from a compatible TV back to the extractor, letting you send TV-app sound to your receiver through any of the audio outputs.
