LUOM OZV8E eARC Audio Extractor

The LUOM OZV8E extracts audio from a single HDMI 2.0 source and delivers it through four analogue and digital outputs. It passes 4K video at 60 Hz with 10-bit HDR and HDCP 2.3 compliance while sending sound to a receiver, soundbar or headphones via 3.5 mm jack, Toslink, coaxial or a dedicated HDMI audio port. A four-position switch selects TV, 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 channel modes for immediate compatibility.

Sustained 4K 60 Hz operation with HDR pass-through

The extractor maintains an 18 Gbps link continuously, so extended viewing sessions or gaming marathons do not introduce signal drop-outs or audio sync drift. HDMI loop-out preserves the original video path to a display while the audio-only port feeds multichannel formats including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X without re-encoding. The DC 5 V 1000 mA supply keeps the active circuitry stable under constant load.

Upgrade from basic ARC or optical-only connections

This unit replaces a TV’s limited ARC return or a simple stereo DAC when the source carries lossless 5.1 or 7.1 streams. The jump is worth it if your AV receiver lacks HDMI 2.0 inputs but accepts Toslink or coaxial multichannel, or if you need simultaneous analogue headphone and digital surround outputs. It does not add HDMI 2.1 bandwidth or variable refresh rate support.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM OZV8E run hot or draw much power when left on all day?

It ships with a DC 5 V 1000 mA adapter, so maximum draw is only 5 watts and the small 5.59 × 3.15 × 1.26 in enclosure stays cool during continuous use.

What cables or devices must I already have to connect this extractor?

You need one HDMI source, one HDMI display or projector, and either a TOSLINK optical, coaxial or 3.5 mm analogue cable to reach your amplifier or active speakers.

Will the OZV8E pass 4K 60 Hz HDR through to an older 1080p AV receiver?

Yes — the HDMI loop‑out carries 3840 × 2160 @ 60 Hz with 10‑bit HDR and HDCP 2.3, while the audio ports down‑mix to PCM 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 for legacy gear.
