USB4 Gen 3×2 cable for 40 Gbps links

This LUOM PQ004 cable carries USB4 Gen 3×2 traffic at 40 Gbps between two USB-C ports. The braided 3.3 ft length suits desktop docks, portable SSD enclosures and laptop charging bricks. It is built for users who need the full USB4 bandwidth and 240 W power delivery in a short, durable lead.

Suits single-cable 8K or dual 4K setups.

Creative pros driving one 8K@60 Hz panel or two 4K@60 Hz monitors from a single Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port will use the full video bandwidth. Buyers who need more than 3.3 ft of reach, or who require optical isolation for industrial environments, should look at active or fibre alternatives.

240 W PD 3.1 rating decides power fit

The cable supports USB PD 3.1 up to 240 W (48 V / 5 A) alongside QC 4.0, PPS and other fast-charge protocols. If the charger and device both negotiate 240 W, this cable will carry it; if either tops out at 100 W, the extra headroom simply remains unused.

Questions about this item

Will the 40 Gbps bandwidth hold steady during a long file transfer to an external SSD?

The cable is rated for USB4 Gen 3x2 at 40 Gbps, so sustained throughput stays at that ceiling as long as both host and drive support the same standard.

Does the braided jacket keep the cable cool when it delivers 240 W continuously?

The 240 W rating (48 V / 5 A) is within the USB PD 3.1 specification; the braided exterior helps dissipate heat, so the cable remains safe to handle during extended high-power charging.

My laptop only has a USB-C 3.2 port — will this cable still drive an 8K display?

Video output requires DisplayPort Alternate Mode on the host port; if your USB-C 3.2 port supports Alt Mode you can drive a single 8K@60 Hz display, otherwise video will not work.
