Converts composite RCA video to HDMI at 1080p 60Hz with USB power for legacy consoles and players
This LUOM adapter converts composite RCA signals from legacy devices into an HDMI output that modern displays can accept. It supports PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N input standards and scales the image to 1080p at 60Hz or 720p at 60Hz. A USB power cable is included and must be connected to a 5 V source for the unit to operate.
The converter is aimed at owners of older consoles, VCRs, camcorders or DVD players that only provide yellow, white and red composite outputs and who want to view that content on an HDMI-equipped TV or monitor. It will not work for users who need to connect component, S-Video or SCART sources, nor for those trying to use it with a Super Nintendo or Apple devices due to compatibility limitations noted by the manufacturer.
The single deciding specification is the availability of a composite video output with yellow, white and red RCA connectors on the source device and an HDMI input on the display. Without both of those physical connections the adapter cannot be used, regardless of any other feature.

The box contains the converter, a USB power cable and the three RCA leads; an HDMI cable is not supplied so you will need your own.
The converter auto-detects and can output either 1080p at 60Hz or 720p at 60Hz; choose 1080p if your TV supports it for the sharper picture.
It means the analogue composite signal is digitised at 10-bit depth and 162 million samples per second, giving cleaner colour transitions and expanded dynamic range on a modern HDMI screen.
