What this cable delivers

The LUOM T0109 is a 65.6 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fibre-optic cable built for 8K 60 Hz and 4K 144 Hz signals. It suits home-theatre installs, professional offices, gaming rigs and VR setups that need long, loss-free runs between a source and a display.

Check before you connect

The cable is directional; the "Source" plug must go into the computer or laptop and the "Display" plug into the monitor, TV or projector. Verify that both your graphics output and your screen support the target resolution and refresh rate, otherwise the link will not negotiate the higher modes.

Thermals noise and power

Optical fibres carry light instead of electricity, so the cable generates no measurable heat and draws no external power. There are no fans or active electronics in the cable itself, making it completely silent during operation.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need any extra adapters for a standard DisplayPort connection?

The package contains the 65.6 ft DisplayPort 1.4 optical fiber cable with male-to-male connectors. No additional adapters are required for a direct DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort link.

Should I choose a different length or version if my monitor only supports 4K at 120 Hz?

This cable supports 4K at 144 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz, so it exceeds the 4K 120 Hz requirement. The 65.6 ft length works for long runs; a shorter cable is only needed if the distance is less.

What does the 8K 60 Hz rating mean when I connect it to my PC and monitor?

It means the cable can carry an 8K signal at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz over the full 65.6 ft, provided both the source and display support those resolutions and refresh rates.
