100 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fiber cable

The LUOM TJ-A077 is a 100 ft active optical cable built to the DisplayPort 1.4 specification. It links a DisplayPort 1.4 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display using male-to-male connectors. The hybrid construction combines four glass fibers with oxygen-free copper wires inside a wear-resisting TPE jacket.

In-wall routing with slim hybrid construction

Glass fibers make the cable thinner and lighter than equivalent copper cables, simplifying pulls through conduit, walls or tight cavities. Gold-plated connectors and a zinc-alloy shell resist corrosion and mechanical stress. The cable carries both high-bandwidth video and auxiliary data without external power adapters.

Installers needing 100 ft 8K@60 Hz

Suits home-cinema, conference-room or digital-signage runs where copper cables cannot reach. Buyers whose source or sink only supports DisplayPort 1.2 or lower will not gain the 32.4 Gbps ceiling. Builders requiring lengths beyond 100 ft or a different connector type should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 100 ft fiber-optic link hold 32.4 Gbps without signal loss under sustained use?

The hybrid glass-fiber and copper construction is rated for the full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth at this length, so sustained throughput remains stable.

Does the cable or its connectors get warm or draw noticeable power during all-day 8K@60 Hz operation?

Optical transmission generates negligible heat at the cable itself; the only power draw is the tiny amount sourced from the DisplayPort pins to run the embedded converter chips.

Must both the graphics card and the monitor have DisplayPort 1.4 ports to use this cable?

Yes — the cable is a male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 link, so the source and display each need a DP 1.4 connector that supports the target resolution and refresh rate.
